Patient Forms
Upon entering our office, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms located in the New Patient Center. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Kien Ta to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Kien Ta to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can meet your goals.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Kien Ta will perform a complete chiropractic examination testing your reflexes and flexibility. Other standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, and physical tests will be performed as well. However, nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
X-Ray and MRI Studies
Depending on your specific condition, we may take X-rays as well. X-rays help us develop the most effective treatment plan for you, and alert us of any serious spinal conditions. Most people are amazed once they see their X-rays up close. In some cases, they can even identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves. As for serious spinal and joint injuries, we are well connected with radiologists and MRI centers to provide diagnostic tests for complicated cases.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Kien Ta will give you a detailed report of all findings and answer any questions including:
- What are reasons behind your pain/conditions.
- How can we help you and what kind of treatment will be involved?
- How often do you need to come in for treatment?
- What is the cost of your treatment ?
After reviewing your health history, goals, and examining your spine and X-rays, Dr. Kien Ta will discuss recommendations and notify you if your condition requires care with other providers. Dr. Kien Ta will provide the best treatment program for your needs.
Treatment
Following the conclusion of the initial exam, you will receive your first treatment, which includes spinal/joint adjustments and physiotherapy. As for chiropractic manipulation and adjustment, Dr. Kien Ta is highly skilled and competent in this area and can adjust almost every joint in the spine or extremities. Dr. Ta will only use minimal force to adjust the joint so most patients will not feel pain. Treatment is interactive so that you can express concerns about the different styles of treatment with Dr. Ta.
Maintenance Program
Once your conditions/symptoms are resolved or manageable, the doctor will suggest a maintenance program to incorporate into your treatment routine. The doctor may advise you on postural corrections, certain activities or positions to avoid injuries, and at-home exercises and stretches to maintain your spine, joints, muscles, and ligament. Chiropractic Maintenance Care with a frequency of 1-2 visits per month will help your spine to function optimally and reduce the risk of injuries.
